The college frequently has the opportunity to compete in local matches and competitions as well as the Scottish National Championships and all players are welcome to try out for the teams. The students are responsible for picking the teams and organise coaching and training sessions. Last term, we were Scottish Champions in ladies football and men’s basketball, as well as being part of the Scottish Team that competed in the British Colleges Sport Championships.
You can sign up for any of these teams at Freshers’ 2011. If you are interested in joining any of the sports clubs, register your interest early by emailing Mark Limmack.
New Clubs & Societies
We are keen to get new clubs and societies off the ground and involve more and more of you in college events and activities.
At the Freshers’ 2011, you’ll see a number of clubs touting for business so if you feel like getting involved, sign up. The more people involved the more successful the club.
If you are keen to start a club of your own, the possibilities are fairly limitless. Get in touch with Mark Limmack and we can either put up a stall at the Freshers’ 2011 or during any lunchtime in the Student Association areas at Kingsway and Gardyne Campus.
If you can get a reasonable number of people attracted to your potential club, we will try and support you to get it off the ground with some funding and advice.
