Students Action-Packed For Charity
Release date: 19/02/2010
Dundee College Gardyne Campus students raised £415 for the Angus Black Watch Association.
As part of their course work, students on the HND sports coaching with sports development programme have to organise a sporting event, from inception through to completion, including arranging the sports, attracting sponsorship and turning a profit – which has to go to charity.
One Group chose the Action Man event which ran throughout the week.
The organisers were also involved with other fund-raising activities, such as having their eyebrows shaved, dyeing their hair green, leg waxing, sponsored silences and dressing as a woman for the day.
