Late Supper for Burns
Release date: 04/02/2010
Dundee College staff and students welcomed over 60 Rotarians and their guests to a Burns’ evening in KC Restaurant at the Kingsway Campus on Thursday, February 4.
Although a little later than normal to celebrate the Bard’s birthday, chef lecturer Daniel Radtke included plenty of Scottish favourites for the four-course dinner including: cock-a-leekie soup, haggis, fillet of beef, chicken with skirlie; cranachan and clootie dumpling.
Members of the Rotary Club of Claverhouse were greeted by a piper and drinks in the lower restaurant before taking their seats in the upper level for the traditional meal.
“We reckon that it is never too late to celebrate Burns with good Scottish food, sourced locally,” said Louisa Kingham, curriculum manager hospitality and tourism.
