Dundee College design students took to the stage for a catwalk fashion show at The Space.

The Kingsway Campus venue was specially adapted for this, the 10th Catwalk Show, with seating on three sides of the fashion runway.

About 25 models showed off creations designed and made by students from a range of courses including NQ, HNC and HND textiles, and BA design and creativity.

A variety of nearly 175 outfits, from street-wear through high-end fashion all the way to flamboyant, performance styles were featured in the two shows.

“The Catwalk Show is timed to coincide with the fruition of a lot of different design projects completed by the students,” said Claire Heminsley lecturer.

“One of these projects involved Alice Marra of local band the Hazey Janes.

“HNC textiles students were given a remit by the musician and created a number of designs for her to wear on stage.”

The Catwalk Show is sponsored by the Nine Incorporated Trades of Dundee, the Incorporation of the Tailor Trade, the Dyer Craft and the Bonnetmaker Craft.

Hair and make-up on the night was by Charlie Taylor Hair and Beauty.
