Broughty Ferry RNLI is more than £200 better off thanks to the efforts of a group of Dundee College students.

A total of nine students on the Freshstart programme voted to support the RNLI when they took part in a fund-raising exercise designed to boost confidence and increase social skills.

Freshstart is designed to help adults with additional support needs gain college experience and take part in a variety of classes including enterprise.

The group raised the cash by organising Guess How Many Sweets in a Jar and a Guess Garfield’s Birthday and having a stall at the college Christmas Fayre.
