Bangladesh

Our partners in this project are NHTTI, the National Hotel and Tourism Training Institute, based in Dhaka Bangladesh.  

The key joint aim of the partnership has been to design and develop curriculum packages which will increase the employability skills of students.  These pilot modules will be disseminated and embedded into the national curriculum as part of VET reforms.

The packages, devised jointly by staff from NHTTI and Dundee College, include preparation for employment in the hospitality industry and Take Cultural Care – a package designed for students to appreciate cultural differences in colleagues and guests. Staff and students of NHTTI also undertook an internationally recognised hygiene qualification. In addition the NHTTI team, staff and students, participated in many workshops to update curriculum delivery methods.
