Grundtvig Partnership

Project: Toolkit for Integration

August 2010 - July 2012

The aim of the project is to enhance opportunities and widen access to the labour market through learning supported by arts and craftwork, thus increasing the self confidence of adult learners at risk of social and economic exclusion.

Incorporating artistic activities into the learning process not only helps people to learn or to relearn how to function successfully within society, but also raises and spreads awareness of cultural roots and features of the respective partner countries, which can be regarded as an important basis for emancipated integration.

Project partners will

  • share best practice, exchange teaching and learning experience, approaches and methodologies through scheduled meetings, workshops and planned lessons
  • develop a portfolio of methodologies which focus on the use of art, theatre, music and craftwork in the teaching and learning process, and when practising communication skills in particular situations
