Interreg IVb North Sea Programme

The North Sea Region Programme 2007-2013 aims to encourage regional development through transnational projects, with a particular focus on innovation, the environment, accessibility, and sustainable and competitive communities.

Funding is available to the 7 countries which border the North Sea, to make the North Sea Region a better place in which to live and work.  The programme has four priorities for transnational collaboration across the region, to:

  • increase the overall level of innovation taking place across the region
  • enhance the quality of the environment
  • improve accessibility
  • ensure communities are sustainable and competitive

Dundee College is represented on a North Sea Commission Thematic Group (Innovation and Education) and is a key player in a number of partnerships funded through the Interreg IVb North Sea programme, as follows:

  • Build with Care
  • North Sea SEP
  • Creative City Challenge
