International students can enrol on most courses at Dundee College.

International students are encouraged to consider the whole range of course provision including:

One and two year courses leading to recognised qualifications
Real job and career training in a wide range of professions and disciplines.

There are also certain courses which are especially designed for students who wish to improve their English (ESOL full-time, ESOL part-time) or gain skills and qualifications.

Courses with Special Entry Criteria

Centre for Creative and Digital Industries

BA Design & Creativity is only open to students who have already completed an HND in a relevant art or design discipline. It is a completion award and we would not accept students coming straight into this award unless they had undertaken an HND within the Scottish/English SCQF system and had a portfolio of work.

BA (Hons) Dance Completion Award is only open to students who have achieved an HND in Contemporary Dance or equivalent. Acceptance may also be granted based on suitable dance experience or other qualifications in dance.

Centre for Science & Engineering

BSc (Hons) Renewable Energy Technology is only open to students who have achieved an HND in an engineering related discipline. This degree is a 2 + 2 qualification.

Centre for Business, Care, Sport and Enterprise

HNC/D Accounts – due to the nature of the programme, subjects must be studied in a particular order. As a result, students must be in college no later than the end of the 3rd week of study (i.e. 15th September). After this point it makes it very difficult to catch up.

HNC/D Retail Management – the applicant needs to have a working knowledge of retailing within Britain and in their own country if appropriate. For most students, HN Business or HN International Business and Trade are therefore more appropriate.
