  • A copy of the Energy Trail form
  • A pen or pencil
  • Help from your teacher or parent/guardian if you don’t know the answer to a question
  • If you are doing the School or Community Energy Trail ask your teacher or parent/guardian for permission before you go and investigate!

You will investigate how energy efficient your home is by gathering information about insulation and areas of heat loss, space and water heating, lighting and appliances that you and your family use. When you put this information into the website you will receive an eco-score and an idea of how good or bad your home is for the planet. Discuss the findings with your classmates, teachers and parents and think about ways in which you can improve the eco-score.
