Prince's Trust

What's Involved?

If you are aged 16 - 25 and looking for something different - then email or call us on(01382) 834834.

This personal development programme gives young people from a mixture of backgrounds, aged 16-25, the opportunity to develop key life skills such as communication; problem solving; working as part of a team, whilst undertaking challenges which will help the local communities and environment.

What's the Challenge?

You will complete a 12 week challenge including team building activities and an action packed week long residential, as well as getting to know and work with new people.

The team will choose a community / environmental project. With help from your Team Leader you will plan, organise and fundraise to complete your project. Part of the programme includes a work placement for 2-3 weeks and receiving "next steps" advice for when you complete the programme. You will gain a Prince's Trust completion certificate as well as recognised core skills units as part of an SVQ.

Who is it for and how long does it last?

It's for volunteers, New Deal volunteers, employed, unemployed - anyone interested in improving their job prospects or with a general interest in the community. It lasts 12 weeks or 26 weeks if you are on the New Deal voluntary options programme.

How much does it cost?

It is absolutely free if you are not in work! Your benefits will not be affected and your travelling expenses will be reimbursed. If you are working, call us to discuss your options.
