Content
ESOL Literacies courses help students whose first language is not English to develop basic communication skills and make the necessary progress in English to access services and take part in community life. There are two levels - ESOL Literacies and ESOL Beginners Literacies and depending on the level, students work towards completing one or more SQA ESOL units at Access 2 or Access 3.
Future Prospects
Students who gain one or more SQA ESOL units can use their qualifications to support applications for UK naturalisation. Many choose to continue to other full or part-time programmes in ESOL.
