IC3 Skills for Scotland

Through a European Social Funded (ESF) project called Skills for Scotland, Dundee College is offering private sector businesses in Tayside the opportunity to develop their staff* and their business FREE OF CHARGE.

The Skills for Scotland initiative focuses on developing delegates IT skills by offering an “Introduction to IC3 (Internet and Computing Core Certification).” The programme is globally recognised, providing a standard approach to basic computing and internet skills.

By ensuring that your staff achieve the entry-level skills needed to effectively use the latest computer and Internet technology to meet your business objectives, you can increase productivity, improve profitability, and give your organisation a competitive edge.

Target Audience

  • Private and third sector organisations
  • Tayside wide
  • 250 or less employees
  • Employees wishing to develop entry level computing skills

Delivery

This introductory course is delivered flexibly by fully qualified IT tutors at the Overgate Learning Centre, our city centre campus. Tutor support will consist of weekly extended lunch time sessions and in addition to this delegates can drop in and continue their learning independently.

The recommended study time is 24 hours of tutor supported and 16 hours independent learning.


*Anyone who has not have been previously Supported on a Skills for Scotland Project is eligible for this free training.
