Dundee College is offering 8-week pre-recruitment training opportunities, for 16-19 year olds, leading to potential employment in the Customer Service, Retail and Administrative sectors.
The Essential Skills pre-recruitment training has been designed and developed to address the needs of individuals (Essential/Core Skills + Customer Service Skills) and the demands of local employers in the Dundee area.

- Call Handling
- Team Work/Building
- Retail Security
- Health and Safety
- Personal Presentation
- Developing Presentation Skills
- Retail Promotions/Marketing
- Guest Speakers
The course will be offered at our Kingsway and Gardyne Campuses and will run for 8 weeks (Monday to Friday) from Monday 5 September 2011 to Friday 4 November 2011.
On successful completion of the programme learners will achieve the following qualifications:
Employability Award; SQA – Communication Unit; SQA – IT Unit; REHIS – Elementry Health & Safety Certificate
There may also be the opportunity of Internal Placements within the College during the last 2 weeks of training.
Any job opportunities received by the College will be made available to participants on successful completion of these training programmes.
